Sandwhich generation demographic phenomenon. Longevity was not part of the retirement equation. Retirement is the worse scheme that has been developed to entice people to believe that they could work and the state would take care of them. What next? The younger generation -next in line to be the meat in the middle of the two pieces of bread- doesn't know that it has it coming. They will be taxed to death to support the growing amount of oldies. Oldies will exercise political power top defende their gains. As a result we will be getting more and more young less educated people.
