can't speak for you or your experience. my parents worked hard and retired to live comfortably as a result of that hard work and were able to help their children financially to boot. they did not rely on government support. my husband and i also worked hard and have retired to live comfortably as a result and have been able to help our children too. we do not rely on government support. Retirement is the worse scheme that has been developed to entice people to believe that they could work and the state would take care of them. balderdash: i know of no one who believes that. $500+/month is just not a big enough carrot.
