CJ, > Shouldn't be a huge surprise.

It went against what I heard back when I learned how to drive.

Always made it a point to roll down the windows and turn off the A/C whenever I could. Gotta be a man to take the heat, you know. The A/C was only used when:

a) I got a call on the cell phone.
b) I want to listen to music without the wind noise.
c) I have other people in the car and I want to be courteous to them.

By the way, the A/C compressor on my BMW seems very underpowered. I don't remember having a weak A/C on my old Ford Taurus. I wonder if that's a trend on modern cars or if that's just BMW (and may other German makes).
