I told YOU to buy a Cadillac. g

"By the way, the A/C compressor on my BMW seems very underpowered. I don't remember having a weak A/C on my old Ford Taurus. I wonder if that's a trend on modern cars or if that's just BMW (and may other German makes)."

It sounds like you may need a gas boost. My AC works really well.....it gets ice cold. But about every 2-3 years it needs a boost in its freon? or whatever gas they are using in AC systems now.

"It went against what I heard back when I learned how to drive."

Really?

There was a time when it was true. But, that hasn't been the case for decades. You'd think such stale information would eventually fade away, but I suppose that isn't the case.

Compressors and aerodynamics are much better these days. Except for maybe a Hummer which must have an awful drag coefficient...

Gotta be a man to take the heat, you know.

Come down to Atlanta and enjoy our drought breaking humidity and then tell me that. It was more comfortable last year when the drought was going strong, even though the temps were higher.
