As I see it, it's just a means to the end. The democrats have drawn a line in the sand to differentiate themselves from republicans with "no drilling".

As for republicans, none of us thinks drilling is going to solve all of the problems.

But something needs to be done now to stop the steady decline in our economy that the price of energy is producing.
