Is that really what he said? That his energy plan is based on pumping up your tires?

No he said that all of the oil that McCain wants to be drilled for can be saved from pumping up your tires, and getting a tune up. Never mind that since all cars have electronic fuel injection and electronic fuel injection a tune up is just spark plugs, an air filter, and PCV valve. If you overinflate your tires then any fuel saved is offset by wearing out your tires sooner, and tire rubber is made of, you may have guessed, oil.

He did mention a tune up as well as the inflate. But he obviously got this from some 70's hippie or something since modern cars can run for a long time without a tune up. Spark plugs are designed for 100k miles.

Air filters and fuel filters are a good idea. They hit you for those at the oil change places. They will check you tires too.

A few days later Barack flopped over to a "comprehensive plan" with limited drilling. He'll have to get permission from the Pelosi side for that and fight his own party all the way.

After he gets elected they will forget about drilling again.
