No one said anything about all their profit.

I said they sell drugs in the US. Since they make a lot of profit in the US, it doesn't matter much if the company is based in Europe, the US, or elsewhere. Large companies being based in Europe does nothing to indicate that the way European's (and Canadians and others) treat the drug companies in terms of forcing prices down, can make for a health drug industry with well funded research, development, and testing programs.

That's a bit too strong, but the reality is at least in that direction.

The US is about 5% of the world's population and just over 20% of the world's gross production, but about 48% of world drug revenue. The higher prices the US pays effectively subsidizes R&D + testing for new drugs for the rest of the world.
