any hints as to where to look.......i would have expected europes way of reporting to be simular to the us.

as to look into it ..or dont...i am afraid that i seem to be the only one here doing any looking into.

of corse statistics are missleading ...lies,damn lies and statistics...

but please dont just opine ...explain.

To be polemical ,does america consider insemination as birth and therefor counts abortions as in its baby mortality rate.

I am aware that in earlier societies a baby was not considered a real person(having a name and a soul) until weeks or months after birth to alleviate the hardship of loss ,which was all too common due to disease .

Alan,here is a link making a simular critisism to yours......yet after stating clearly something is wrong with the stats showing the US to be" behind the curve" no effort is made to explain.
