I'm not doing a straight carb thing but watching portions.

There is a school of thought that says eat what you want, when you really want it, eat it slowly and savor it, and quit eating before you are full.

I don't want to "diet" because that indicates I am eating differently than I would if I didn't want to lose weight. What I am doing is eating foods I like, only when I get hungry, and just enough to cut the hunger. I make sure they are low cal foods, and in my case, contain no wheat, corn or refined sugar. Right now, I am having some leftover cold ratatouille. Delicious.

Did my first day of walking the beach yesterday and I think it will work for me. I spend my waking hours in this condo, and only get out to shop and dance. Doing the beach thing forces me out of here, walking, for an minimum of an hour. The scenery was sure delightful walking the beach at Waikiki.
