Chris, > Have we impaired the capabilities of the terrorists in any way?

Driving them deeper underground is a success in my book.

This is ridiculous.

Anyone who follows this situation recognizes that "the terrorists" have been decimated. They have no means of communicating, no means of training recruits, have limited ability to fund operations and move about the world freely.

The leadership of AQ has been captured or killed for the most part. They have been unable to create enough "terror" amongst Americans to even keep liberals focused on the problem, with some idiot liberals now proclaiming 9/11 was a "lucky hit".

Are they defeated? There are those who would like to bring AQ back to prominence but for the most part, George W. Bush and the US Military have defeated AQ.

Are they still a threat? Yes, like cockroaches, you must stomp every last one of them or there is the chance the infestation of subhuman slime will return. But substantial progress has been made.
