Lol, what a sick, perverted assumption.
Are you really from Denmark?
That would explain a lot. -g-
Russians are born of tremendous strife alongside a beautiful Byzantine heritage and a almost fairytale Tsardom.
From Ivan IV until now they are one of the most challenged and universally strong races on the planet. Theirs is a story of uncompromising strength and beauty.
They'll be ok.

As I mentioned before, Gulag stuff was done by 2 Georgians in
charge of Soviet Union, Stalin and Beria. -g-

They say in Russia:

1 Georgian - dictatorship
2 Georgians - terror
3 Georgians - That never happened yet, and better never
happen!

Most people think that Russians are nice people, but the Russian language represents oppression, gulag, language suppression, mind control, corrupt politicians, lying newspapers, invasions and death to many people, and the current Russian government isn't good at changing that.

This is more a political than a cultural heritage.

It can be argued, with substantial evidence, that the word American could be substituted for Russian in the phrase above and we could describe accurately trends that have been put in place this century.

Substitute rendition, torture and Guantanamo for gulag, and the template fits quite well.
