I never heard of that story. Sounds comical.

To me, it is common sense that the CIA ought to be allowed to assassinate someone who is being a problem so long as it is done under a presidential order.

I agree, I was thinking a top secret executive order. The politics of that, possibly causing the president to lose reelection, or possible impeachment, would make that rare.

That's nuts. You assume the president is sane and rational. What a crazy thing to do.
