That sounds like a market analyst forecasting the year ahead, while actually saying nothing.

Something like the Oracle at Delphi said to Croesus, the King of Lydia.

"If you attack Persia, you will destroy a great kingdom."

Of course the prediction came true, just as it would have regardless of the outcome.
