No, there isn't. But, Putin said that the US action in Iraq justified what they were doing with Chechnya. And he is also comparing it for this action.

That is what is known as "blowback". Or, as Tenchu likes to point out, "the law of unintended consequences".

If I were to pick, this is more similar to what Israel did to Lebanon. Expect that Russia was better prepared and Georgia less prepared than their equivalents in that conflict.
