It is MUCH better to blow this crisis up to full scale now, than to see two large armies sending tanks or something else to Kursk in Ukraine in a year.

Paul Craig Roberts has been a major wallbreaker down of my own knee jerk prejudices.
i had known he was the Chief Economist for the Olin Foundation a well known conservative Philanthropy organization that for decades(back to the early 50s) was one of the 5 biggest contributor's to the Republican Party year in and year out.

On top of that i pick up Roberts is a devout christian, and i immediately assume he is CRW warmonger.

But in 2003 i start reading his stuff and his writings are both eloquent and devasting attacks on Bush, neocons and the CRW(attacking them as a disgrace to the word christian).

It was confusing.
But the confusion started to end when The Olin Foundation going into 2004, SHOCKED the G.O.P. by announcing they would NOT be contributing any money to the Republican Party. And that they were ceasing political contribution all together.

i figure Roberts an impetus behind this change, and Olin Family itself was going through a change--as they saw the NeoCons a threat to the constitution and having an INSANE Foreign Policy.
*********************************************************
To Terry Maloney who responded to that article <<Indeed.

Never thought I'd agree with a REAGANITE about anything, but I gotta agree with this ...>> i am going to suggest he reads Roberts archives, he will be in for a shock!---he is,Paul Craig Roberts, i believe perhaps as eloquent and intelligent an anti-Neocon/anti-Bush , anti-CRW anti-a corrupt economy/anti-Israel Lobby of any blogger on the web.
And yes, he is a conservative, that is a devout christian(of which he does NOT speak, and he writes with immense EMPATHY for all people regardless of race/religion and so on.)
i nearly feinted when he quoted "They are coming to lock him up today, who will be next, you or me???" That is from Arthur Lee's "Red Telephone" on LOVE's ForeverChanges album from 1967.Wow!

A Craig Paul Roberts puts The Nation to SHAME with his possessing a massive moral courage that The Nation does NOT possess, i in fact CANCELLED my subscription to The Nation after subscribing to it for years as i could no longer live with their having that wimpoid ever comprising BS that has DESTROYED the Democratic Party.

i include The Nation as one of those guilty of giving us the New One Party, the bipartisan War Party.

The EXTREME COWARDICE of Democratic Organization during the Bush Regime will go down as the GREATEST DISGRACE in the Democratic Party's history. It took major lack of substance, their presumed cowardice could actually not be cowardice, but instead what they are, i have noted that many of the Libs are A. O'K with war in the Middle East/AsiaMinor as LONG as the leader is a democrat. The bloody hypocrites.

i charge the Democratic Party has been, through their moral cowardice, the number two, top enablers of Bush.

i would say Cockburn the only editorialist worth reading in The Nation.
And i am SURE they would not publish Roberts , for being TOO confrontive and disturbing, too too negative about what is happening in this country. Max
