" In general, I expect anyone here to have some basic knowledge of the subject matter."

I do. Which is why I often question you about the "experts". I have yet to get a real answer.

"If there is an authority on a subject,"

Umm, no, what you do is try to hide behind anonymous experts.

"I pointed out you were wrong, cited news stories agreeing with me"

See, this is what I am talking about. You didn't cite a single new story. You claimed they were out there, but did not once post a link.

"SELDOM do I encounter significant lines."

You've got to be kidding. There are always lines at Houston Intercontinental at all of the terminals.

" I think your link sort of missed my point; by "airport security" I was referring to measures to prevent terrorist attacks involving or using airplanes;"

Well, there go the goal posts again. You said airports.

"You may think it is silly. However, it helps to shut down an avenue by which a terrorist could get explosives onto a plane."

It is silly because it does no such thing. The explosives in question are difficult to produce in a lab. They require a great deal of cooling, for example. Something that isn't possible to do in an airplane lavatory. Don't you even have the slightest clue about this issue?

"And I might add, there has not been a successful bombing on a major airline in a long time. "

Correct. The last one was in 1995. One person was killed, 10 injured.

"Every piece of checked baggage is screen by explosive detection systems."

Right. And that was started well before 9/11.
