"The Left will laugh about these actions, but they are obviously not insignificant "

Ok.

What does it do to affect the balance? Do you see Russia pulling their troops out of Georgia because of it?

The fact that Russia is against it doesn't mean a whole lot. If they were to set up an ABM system in, say, Mexico, or Cuba, the US would have a collective aneurysm. Practically speaking, it wouldn't mean anything. But it has symbolic meaning.

The left plays chess. It works well in politics but not with international politics, especially when national security is involved. The right game is poker, and with poker you don't need a good hand, you only need to make the other side think you do. For example Regan's Star Wars the ultimate bluff.

Since CJ claimed the US didn't have a hand last week, both Poland and Ukraine have agreed to the missile defense systems.

This surprises you why? Putin has scared the bejezus out of Poland and the Ukraine.....which is what he intended. Right now, if they could, Poland and the Ukraine would become America's 51st and 52nd state.

You guys have trouble getting the big picture, don't you?

BTW if this keeps up, your son might need to start packing for Eastern Europe.
