re: Harrison explained that Numonyx produces all its NOR flash memory and it owns two 300mm wafer plants, located in Israel and Singapore. However, for the production of its NAND flash memory, it prefers to outsource production to Hynix's Wuxi fab.

This is a typo. Numonyx has one empty 300mm shell in Italy. Its plant in Israel is 200mm and producing at 65nm moving to 45nm. Fafaik the one in Singapore is 200mm as well. Message 24453967

Numonyx is promoting itself quite nicely. Its strength is its weakness though. What they boast about is for a large part pure spin:
- They're developing four different technologies in different partnerships in a lowest cost market while they're not that big a company. This has got to be expensive for them. Still it does allow them to be a one stop shop for wireless solutions.
- They're kind of proud not to spend money on equipping a 300mm fab because they can't afford one.
- They currently produce all NOR themselves but arranged to outsource 300mm 65nm production to Elpida (Hiroshima/Japan) medium term. This isn't exactly a position of strength for neither Numonyx or Elpida who had trouble filling their Hiroshima/Japan fab themselves.

The story is being picked up in online news again and again without any serious questions being asked; it kind of sticks. Harrison's marketing skills so far are better than Cambou's. Your typical author doesn't know jack shit but does seem to find comfort in hanging on Harrison's lips.
