"Every soldier volunteered knowing full well what they were going into." I'm sure I've know a lot more vets personally than you have. In my experience, people join the military to escape their podunk small town or rural life or situation, to see the world, to live some John Wayne fantasy or for the education or monetary benefits. That last, the monetary benefits are CONSIDERABLE at this point in time. Whatever their motivation, they shouldn't be wasted for Bush's hubris or warmonger right wingnut beliefs. They AREN'T fighting for our "freedom" - unless you want to support i-nodes contention? Maybe you'll explain how they are defending our "freedom" in Iraq?
