There has never been an attack ad that wasn't justified with the excuse "Well the other side started it." Al also wants to go back in time, so I can bring up the 1988 Democratic convention, when they were accusing Bush Sr. of "being born with a silver foot in his mouth." Then Bush Sr. answers with a very negative campaign, including Willie Horton and the Beetle Bailey image, and the Democrats whine and moan about it.
