The simple truth about new cars that some don't get is the minute the finance manager signs the MSO over to the buyer and fills out the state paperwork for titling your vehicle it just depreciated about 30%. You haven't put a mile on it, you haven't left the dealership, you don't even have the keys in your hands and you've lost 30% of your investment. 30K car and your down 9K before you've left the building.

If your not a business that is writing a vehicle down as a business expense it's borderline insane IMO to purchase a new vehicle of any kind.

a 1977 Ford Granada. I remember the Ford was the last '77 on the lot as the '78's were selling. The dealer just wanted rid of it and sold it to me for a flat $5000. Extras included radio, A/C and white sidewalls. We drove that car over 120k miles.

Ah, a real classic.
