looking at Alfa and Beta of QQQQ, I doubt few people look at it. It is usually used for risk over the past year. Or a 3 month timeframe for shorter term. 1 year Positive Alfa .04 1 year Negative Alfa .02 1 year Positive Beta 1.35 1 year Negative Beta 1.12 One could watch the trend, But the noticeable thing I see is how close the Alfa is... which might be suggesting how close the pendulum is swinging to Neutral. Traders probably do not track this, but the institutions do as they slowly juggle positions and sectors.
