I was the opposite. Having lived in Portland, OR for six years, I decided I needed more action. Hence I moved to Southern California. True, Orange County isn't exactly L.A., but it's a heckuvalot more urban than Seattle. I can remember ted commenting on LA Women. I'm thinking he got worked over real good at some point.

David, I find it rich (but not smooth) how Ted claims to be a "big city boy." This is the guy who got the heck out of dodge, a.k.a. Los Angeles, because he couldn't take it. I was the opposite. He keeps mentioning Pine Bluff for some reason. This is a small town in Arkansas that is a microcosm of Old Harlem and East St. Louis combined. I have a feeling ted wouldn't last long there, either.
