Please provide me with facts on why you believe:
"Pakistan has now a bright future".

Indonesia, it kept Suharto because it was a son of a bitch "our son of bitch". Suharto was useless but was kept because of the Malacca Straight between Sumatra and Malaysia.

So were many outposts that had odious regimes, yes, each one with "our son of bitches"

By the way Apartheid regime was tolerated because it guarded Cap of Good Hope. Angola became war torn in tour de force between the two major Cold War powers.

All Latin American countries are better off today that the Cold War period where the local oligarchs would push a caudillo as nation savior.

Obviously the Pakistanis are not stupid to see the rest of world -even Angola- becoming normal countries and progressing while they are left as a backward relic of the Cold War.

Therefore one of the last son of bitches must go.

US had its Civil War too after it got self-determination. Looks like it is a rhythm of passage to nationhood.

If other countries can have the military inside barracks and not as guarantors of social peace, why not in Pakistan too?

I'm not saying 40 years of Cold War will be washed out in six weeks and everything is going to be nice. The country has to find its own way and that takes time.
