Do you really think the houses gaffe has legs? After veeps are picked, when the conventions are over and things kick into overdrive, I think it will diminish. It looks like flailing if that's all the Obama people have to hammer him on.

counter with Tony Rezko jabs

Jabs, hardly. The Obaman gave McCain an opening. Here's a right cross and left hook that should be delivered to the Obaman.

My proposed McCain political ad starts with a focus on the Obaman's palace. A husband and wife team, who are apparent Obaman supporters, are seen looking at it from the street, sidewalk, whatever. A previous Obaman supporter sees the couple and walks over to them to explain the Rezko connection. The couple listens and then explains "he's not like us." After that, the wonderful "bonehead decision" clip from the Obaman collection is played. After the Obaman has finished stressing that he made a "bonehead decision," the ad should end with the question "Do we want a bonehead for President."

He told the truth, he wanted to be completely accurate. That's a gaff?

He lives an opulent life style. McCain should either defend it or give his money away.

McCain's houses gaffe

Sure, he could have responded differently. But, it is no big deal, any more than the Heinz-Kerry money.

AFAIC, I prefer that every veteran POW should own "at least seven houses". They have earned it, in spades.

Screw the liberals who only whine about the military, refuse to wear a flag pin and "want to only negotiate", with the evil side. And, without any pre conditions.

What McCain should have said:

When asked how many houses he owned, John McCain should have said, "I'm not sure, but probably more than I'll have if
Mr. Obama gets elected!"

On Thursday’s Mark Levin Show: Mark asked the question - What’s more important: How many buildings John McCain’s wife owns, or how many buildings Bill Ayers and his wife tried to blow up?

Also, Obama is making a big deal about John McCain not being able to remember how many properties he owns and that he must be out of touch with America. Where was the backlash at John Kerry or Nancy Pelosi or Howard Dean and the amount of money that they have?

The effort of the left is to create jealousy and to agitate. They twist the facts to make themselves appear correct. Mark also discusses Obama’s economic policies and how it would kill the engine of our economy.

Conservatives believe in opportunity because big government will not create opportunity for any of us. Finally, Mark cites a new poll that says many Americans care more about controlling the border than legalizing illegal immigrants.

This is Senator Obama's house, now protected by the U.S. Secret Service, but not when this was taken on April 15, 2007. (Our tour of the Kenwood neighborhood actually began on the sidewalk in front of the house so we could get a better look at the synagouge across the street. )

The lot on the left is the subject of the "Rezko" deal. Rezko bought the lot for the asking price, and the Obamas got $300,000 off the asking price. Rezko was recently found guilty of "influence peddling" related charges in the federal court in Chicago.

I had a discussion with one of my co-workers (who lives in Hyde Park and has never bothered to walk past the Senator's house) about the changes that might occur to this street if Obama actually wins the presidency. No doubt, the street would be closed to traffic, and pedestrians would be restricted. I'd bet that no one will be able to park on this street for a long time.

Of course, the Obamas haven't owned this house very long, nor are Senator Obama's roots in Chicago very deep. I'd bet they unload this place pretty quickly if he wins.
