You think its a good idea, it just rubs you the wrong way. It's an effective short term strategy. I guess you guys like paying the person who killed some of our soldiers. It give me the creeps... makes me sort of sick to my stomach. You're wrong to think it will "backfire". One, the government will take over the Sons of Iraq program so it won't end. Not from any report that I've read. Second, the good guys only have to outbid the bad guys. Who are the good guys, the Sunni or the Shia? AQ is pretty much back in Afghanistan.
