bill..

if you have access to a gym, consider using the elliptical machine....

my physiatrist highly recommended it to me after i had my arthro on my knee...and recently i developed a slight stress fracture in a bone in my foot and it was the only aerobic exercise i could do without aggravating it

I am hoping that losing some more pot belly will help the back and I can resume them.

You might try exercising in the water. It's very kind to aches and pains.
