In fact hardly any rich people get rich or maintain their wealth by ripping off or holding down the poor. Do rich people contribute to the economy? Of course as both consumers and investors. And in fact, they do pay a disproportionate share of taxes.

It has been shown factually that a smaller and smaller percentage of Americans controls a greater and greater proportion of this country's wealth and resources. That's enough reason to curb the benefits of the wealthy.
