Nonsense. Vietnam began under JFK. But became an absolute national disaster under LBJ, a weak liberal president, no different from the one you're now running. The rest is utter nonsense. Carter may not have acted politically as you would have liked but his actions did not create financial chaos. WHAT? Were you even around? Carter's failed foreign policy was an economic disaster for Americans -- one of the few times I can recall when a president's actions ACTUALLY had significant impact on the American economy. The Great Society program was necessitated by the riots of the 1960s and the racial and income inequities of the time. Oh, bullshit. It was a liberal giveaway program, and it failed miserably. And we're still paying for it, not only financially, but with the moral decay of inner cities. Nearby Memphis, TN -- a small town by city standards, sports a murder rate 2.5x the national average. Drive through there sometime -- you'll find housing projects as far as the eye can see. As I mentioned yesterday, Pine Bluff which you for some reason constantly refer to, has 4x the national average murder rate. Coincidentally, physicians practicing there consistently bill more Medicaid claims than any other region of the state. Coincidence? New Orleans? 8x the national average murder rate. These cities have one common theme -- high percentage of impoverished blacks who have been so-called "beneficiaries" of the Great Society for 40 years. The Great Society brought us this humanitarian disaster. As for Clinton, Republicans should be as good as he was at running the country. Not one Republican president since 1960 has done as well. You're FOS. Clinton was a train wreck that directly resulted in the 9/11 attack.
