It would be the end of Obama's run. I was having a long discussion with someone yesterday about how much we are driven to test the pedestals upon which people stand. We love to pull the mask off the Lone Ranger, to discover the immorality of an evangelist, the kryptonite of a superman, a flaw in Aristotle's reason, the failures of a world champion. There was an old 'Happy Days' days episode where Richy betrayed a secret of The Fonz. He justified it to Fonzie saying, 'common doesn't everybody want to pull the mask off the Lone Ranger?' Fonzie replied, 'Yeah but Tonto never did.' ... I thought that was the coolest thing Fonzie ever said.

You're a hypocrite. After Clinton, how can any of you pinheads can honestly claim that character matters....? You want to tell me that McCain's joke was more serious than Clinton's dalliance with an intern which you all claimed was a "personal matter"....or that it is not a darker stain on his character? lol McCain's joke was inappropriate and uncalled for....he apologized for it....as he should have. Likewise, the pinhead indignation over the issue is both hypocritical and just plain silly. J.
