I saw an old dick morris book appearance from early july the other day. He said he was backing mccain but his partner who was a republican operative as well wasnt participating in this race because he saw it as a seminal moment that would put racism and racial politics to bed in this country. They disagree on who they will vote for but morris agreed with the point about overcoming our racial history. Morris said Barack running does that for the most part just like Hillary for women. But he said an obama win would upset him less than that of a white democrat because of what it means for this country.
