I was a little stunned at how Fox News fawned over Obama's speech, but it didn't work for me.

I think Greta was influenced by the emotion of the crowd.
But hey, fair and balanced. Meanwhile, apparently Matthews and Olbermann gushed so much over the speech on MSNBC that even the Obama-supporting liberals at TNR said they wondered if it was an SNL skit. Beyond self-parody, they said.

I agree with you about the speech. Obama looked irritated when he should have been triumphant, and the speech sounded defensive; a lot of it was recycled from his stump speeches, with attempted indignation that didn't really fly. But that crowd would hardly have noticed if he had recited Homer in ancient Greek; they were too caught up in the triumph of the moment.

Obama's speech, but it didn't work for me.

We are "yellow dog" conservatives. No left wing speech works for us. :>)

I think the analysts on Fox felt they had to bend over to be fair to Obama. We can't get around the fact that NO OTHER POL IN THE COUNTRY could have drawn 84K to that stadium. It shows us how dangerous Obama is.

40% or better of the people in this country would welcome a Fascist Leader. "Business, Labor and Government working together for a brighter future!"

Fortunately, I don't think Obama has the staying power to be "the one." But I may be wrong.
