her sex to disgruntled Hillaryites.

i don't think so....

she won't appeal to the 'sisterhood of the pantsuit' brigade

but i think she does have some appeal to the gen x and gen y female vote, most of which are going for obama, and probably continue to ....still, she has a compelling story (from what i am reading) as a younger woman who is willing to take on the 'old boy' network (in both parties) and win

(Obama could hardly attack her very well after all)

Precisely. This would only emphasise the fact that Obama himself is totally green. While a VP is a "heartbeat" away from the Presidency, still, we all intuitively understand that if it comes to it, we are probably better off having a "green" VP rather than a Prez.

McCain is an interesting guy - with this one step he instantly made Obama's O-lympus and all his other theatrics into stale old news.

Nadine - ah - I cannot wait to hear the experience critics. This should be a fun couple of months. I home today and will watch her with John.

Let's get it on with the campaign!

Bob

I would have liked to see Romney from a preparedness point of view, but I think McCain managed to surprise everybody with this pick - and it didn't leak. I suspect Johnny Mac may be staying inside Obama's OODA loop.

Romney as Sec. of Treasury?

It will be interesting to see if McCain comes out and pre-announces certain cabinet picks this coming week.

The little I have heard so far raises no concerns, in fact it seems very positive. Unless some real negatives are exposed, then McCain has made one shrewd choice. Very Pro Life, Pro NRA and Pro drilling. Has experience in energy and limited executive experience. Mother of 5.

Now if McCain wins, Ms Palin is the ultimate continuous kick in the gut to she who is the wife of he who never had sex with monica and her delusions of grandeur. Ditto for hubby scum.

So my initial take....

She's a mystery to me. I don't have a clue as to how this will play but I agree with MDrive that she is unlikely to appeal to the disaffected Sisterhood.

Still see McCain as more of the same, same. Hard to get excited about someone who admittedly does not have a clue about the economic issues we face.

Obama? Well, hot air doesn't do it for me, either.

What we need is a non-crackpot Ron Paul, if that is not too oxymoronish.

We have a serious failure of leadership in the country. Although history may absolve him, W seems now to be an abject disaster.
