Incidentally I did eat one half of a hamburger bun at a local joint one night. The next day I had a severe attack of rhinitis. This has been the only such attack I have suffered since I swore off wheat

Kristel and I had a "cheat night" for our 1 month on the diet. I had a burger, fries, and a glass of soda at Red Robin. I am now four pounds heavier and feel bloated. I think it's "case closed" for me on the effect of wheat and sugar.

I don't doubt you for a minute, and I think I will eventually try eliminating all wheat.

But the rest of the household thinks I'm going off the deep end with that...so I'll defer for now.

And my girlfriend makes some kick ass bread regularly...I'm not superman. ;-)

Damn! That's good news, jr. I pulled a pair of trousers off the rack this morning that fit me the first of the year and they are like "clown's clothes" now.

You, I and Long have all had the same reaction to going off wheat. Must be something to it.
