The reason I am critical that it seems like a fluff pick. She was not chosen because she is qualified for the #2 job behind a guy that may not make it through his first term, let alone a second. The McCain campaign made it seem that Obama - first black president of the Harvard Law Review, 8 year state senator, 4 year US senator, with a lot of national exposure and a hard fought campaign behind him - was not qualified to be President. Then they pick a person who has almost no experience as a leader, and no national experience.

She has been quoted as saying that she has not paid much attention to the Iraq war, that she is too focused on state issues. How in heck is a person like that qualified for the post?

I'm thinking more and more that she is a Clarence Thomas sort of pick.
