First off, I think we need to refer to people by their name. It is Barack Obama and John McCain. Not BO or McSame or McShame.

Having said that, I am sure there will be no disagreement that we are very worse off now than we were 8 years ago. Getting into discussions of whether there was a surplus or deficit is for the elites. We just look at how tough it is to get food to the table.

I would ask the same question that a Republican presidential candidate Ronald Reagan asked: "Are you better off today than you were 8 years ago."
