I don't favor abortion for all but outlawing it altogether would not stop it as illegal abortions would flourish. As far as Down syndrome, huge medical costs are involved in raising such a child in the USA, especially in expensive medical settings where the best outcome is expected. But to correct that, the government should drastically reduce hospital's and doctors' fees, and negotiate with Big Pharma (while encouraging drug research) more effectively. The status quo is flawed, no doubt. And McBush has no plan...
