No amount of Sarbanes-Oxley can fight the overal ethical decline. The lack of ethics have percolate down to the fabric of the society and can't be extirpated.

I studied several disciplines a few years after I dropped out once i had money to buy books. It took me another ten years more to know what I was learning. Only discovering it in the British Council Library in Kaduna, Nigeria. I had studied Political Economy and I didn't know.

It was the knowledge of political economy -that I studied in the mid 70s- that allowed me to pursue my professional career without formal education, I realize now. That because the all disciplines that political economy touches:

Sociology, political science, history, anthropology, economics human geography and Psychology.

Today when I look to the economic environment I can draw form that what I had learned.
