Patron,
I think the only answer is she was fully aware of the controversy her Daughter's pregnancy would cause, and, for obvious reason's didn't let it stop her.
And, the spin that she was fully vetted, must now seem to be
an absolute CYA BS line. MCcain obviously made the decision in panic and in a state of insanity (momentary, I hope). Not exactly
giving me warm fuzzy feelings when I think about his administration confronting Russia's perceived imperialistic actions in the future.
