economies go in cycles, as it has with capitalism for the last 400 years, wars and other things have an influence. It's just a matter of timing, Pres are lucky or unlucky. Remember Bush inherited a recession from Clinton. Clinton's last quarter had like 3% negative growth.

Bush did set a record 52 months straight job group, an all time record.
