Interesting, Ian. Wonder if this explains any of the off-target effects first documented by Rosetta InPharmatics several years ago. But the siRNA gurus claimed that they could design better siRNAs to minimize those.

Not sure what to make of that "cookieSet" part of the link, but probably not hazardous to your computer's health..

The study names names. One of the guilty parties is Reich et. al., describing the siRNA targeting of the VEGF pathway in macular degeneration. That indication should be very familiar to readers of this thread.
