Extremely interesting numbers. I'd wait to see a different poll to confirm them. But, if true, McCain has lost an astounding 50 percentage points in the 'who has more experience' category. Some of that must be attributed to Joe Biden now that he is on the team - he has a ton of foreign policy experience, more than McCain. And that 9% of Hillary supporters who support Palin - that may even drop as the anger dims and the reality of a Palin presidency looms. One thing that we on the left must now acknowledge is that the depth of the right's feeling about Obama's inexperience is genuine. Think of how we feel about Palin, and we can understand better - even if we disagree.

The VP pick shows more about John McCains lack of judgement than anything in particular about Sarah Palin. McCain is a bad leader because he makes his decisions in isolation. Had he floated Palin's name for even a week before picking her he would have had some sort of feedback. Even if McCain thinks Palin was vetted in that short time the most important variable was not. The most important information he could have got was how she would be received by the potential voters and he just blew off the chance to get feedback on that. That shows a serious lack of judgement.
