And they went into panic mode. The press release on Monday was not planned well at all. And they have been trying to come to grips with the situation ever since.

And they are not doing a very good job. This one shows that they still aren't on top of their game. They are just coming up with a response and haven't been able to propagate it across their staffers.


Whoever came up with the idea of having the boy come down to St Paul really was thinking so far outside the box they might as well have been on Pluto. That's not just sloppy thinking; its stupid. Even his mother didn't want anything to do with it......begging off from the media by saying she is just "a country gal".

And for Noonan and Murphy to trash both Palin and McCain.....there must be some significant unhappiness within the party over this whole craziness.

I think McSame himself screwed over his own campaign with the Palin pick. I really doubt she was even on his short list - his campaign was probably busy vetting and strategizing Polente, Romney and even Leiberman, but I'm sure none of them even thought of Palin as a real possibility.
