Barack understood that he couldn't come across as the angry black man. Only a doofus like me couldn't understand why he was not on the attack. I think he can and should now, though.

Barack's level of support (read: firm voters) have risen to 42-43%, pretty high number, meaning he has got a pretty good hold on these people, and no matter what swiftboating happens, it will not deviate much from that number.

Also, Obama doesn't "react" to these emotional moments you'll notice. Even in debates, he waits a second, sizes up what the essence of what is said and then comments. This is different than almost ALL of the others including most democrats.
That said, I find it a bit disturbing at the intensity of the Republican emotionality in this race... it's getting very intense, there is some type of fear in them that they don't seem able to control. They're getting real irrational.
