That would give us a much better idea of how much oil is there, but its a very strong egaggeration to say "There's a way to find out how much oil waits on the U.S. continental shelf." What's an "egaggeration"? Anyway Pickens in his ads is putting it pretty well, we use 25% of the worlds oil and have 3% of the reserves. Give him a very generous 100% margin of error and he's still right that we won't ever drill our way out of the problem. The only solution is gasoline efficiency, regardless of the technology, IC, electric, hybrids, whatever. Everything else in denial.
