If Michele was running for something, I'd be critical- ???????????? A woman with a political career is more damaging to her family than a woman with a different career path??? Also Michelle IS running---running along with her husband much of the time--out there campaigning and going home on weekends. By the end of the campaign, Michelle will have been away from her children much more than will Sarah Palin. Palin will be campaigning for only two months. Michelle's been campaigning for nearly a year. As for the boy on stage, your posts pertained only to Bristol, I thought. But I'll address his appearance by saying that I doubt Sarah Palin was intending to REWARD this boy. Privately she probably wishes she could retroactively banish him to an iceberg somewhere. She probably was thinking that her daughter would feel better (less shamed) if the whole world could see that the boy loves and intends to stand by her. Maybe Bristol even begged her mother to have Levi there so she wouldn't feel so naked before the world, and the mother, wanting to protect her daughter, agreed to this? I just think your attitude is strangely contradictory. You seem to think the mother should suspend her career to take care of and protect the girl while at the same time not do anything that would suggest she condoned or was rewarding either of the two young people.
