Morals are based on beliefs. The abortion issue is a simple one and not necessarily grounded in religious belief. Anti-abortionists believe abortion is an act of murder. Their efforts are based on trying to protect a life. Their argument is that a fetus has civil rights, too....the right to be born and enjoy human existence. You see them as trying to force their beliefs on you. They see themselves as trying to thwart a murder. Trying to thwart a murder is the thinking behind opposing assisted suicide and other death with dignity issues.
