Barack Obama said that the surge of American forces in Iraq has ``succeeded beyond our wildest dreams,'' though the Iraqis still haven't done enough to take responsibility for their country.

While he was wrong on this subject, I love the fact that he is willing to admit it.

I don't agree with Obama on this and it it is sad that he is changing his tune. It is the "Sunni Awakening" that is the reason violence has gone down.

And once the US troops draw down, violence between Shias and Sunnis will erupt. The war will only be won when the hearts and minds of the Iraqis are won. And that has not happened.
