I wasn't trying to make it all the same issue.

I'm disapproving of 1. making teen pregnancy look "ok", or godforbid "attractive". 2. I'm for mothers being at home for their school age children. I'm really really interested in seeing more parents home to supervise their teens- since, imo, teens really need supervision. The drugs, the drinking, the sex, the delinquent behaviors, they just aren't going to happen as often when a parent has an eye on them after school. Most teens seem to get in to trouble because they are bored and unsupervised- you can try to rely on other adults in the community to completely supervise your teen during daytime hours until you get home from work, or you can be around yourself to check up on them. Me, I think it's wise to be around, if it is at all possible- no matter whether you are democrat or republican.

I don't see any of that as contradictory. It's all about what a perceive to be child welfare.
