That doesn't say anything about considering Saddam a good guy, or even considering Gadhafi to be such a good guy...

"Good guy' or 'bad guy' in the sense that they are on our side, or not on our side. Of course their 'personality' isn't a part of the review.

I don't know though... shouldn't a guy like Gadhafi, after Lockerbie, be a life time bad guy? Can bin Laden become a good guy?

I'm as realpolitik as most, but it bothers me... I remember Lockerbie very distinctly. It was horrible. Between that and 9/11 is just a matter of degree.

Please tell me he didn't say that.

Westmoreland calls Obama ‘uppity'

thehill.com
By Mike Soraghan

Georgia Republican Rep. Lynn Westmoreland used the racially-tinged term "uppity" to describe Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama Thursday.

Westmoreland was discussing vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's speech with reporters outside the House chamber and was asked to compare her with Michelle Obama.

"Just from what little I’ve seen of her and Mr. Obama, Sen. Obama, they're a member of an elitist-class individual that thinks that they're uppity," Westmoreland said.

Asked to clarify that he used the word “uppity,” Westmoreland said, “Uppity, yeah.”
